Welcome to the 54th COMP annual meeting website. This year the meeting will be hosted in beautiful Quebec City, on the Université laval campus from Wednesday June 25th to Saturday June 28th (exams and business meetings will be held Monday June 23rd and Tuesday June 24th). The icebreaker reception and public lecture will be held on Wednesday June 25th. The meeting venue will be the Pavillon Desjardins. This building is about 6 km (15-20 minutes bus ride) from Old City.
As you probably already know 400 years ago, on July 3rd 1608, Samuel de Champlain founded Quebec City. Thus you can expect this anniversary to be widely celebrated, especially around the time of our meeting, which will take place between two important holidays: St-Jean Baptiste on the 24th and Canada Day on July 1st, in addition to the historic July 3rd date.
This year we are trying to host a somewhat "greener" COMP meeting. Each registered participant will received a four days city-wide bus pass that will be valid for the duration of the meeting. Delegates will not have to worry about the headache of driving around and parking. Furthermore, two of the bus routes (800 and 801) run between Boul Laurier (Hotel Classique), the Pavillon Desjardins (on campus) and the Old Quebec from 5h30 to 0h30 every 10 minutes.
